Music Recording Service

Downstream records a wide range of musical performances, by amateurs and professionals alike. From a low-cost package for schools to a comprehensive service for professional soloists and ensembles.

We use the latest state-of-the-art computer system to create high-quality 24-bit digital recordings, using as many tracks as are required to achieve full coverage of the performers. We usually use our £3000 Soundfield microphone system to capture the main sound, and add extra microphones, recorded on separate tracks, as necessary.

We record on location, at whatever venue is most appropriate and convenient for you. It could be a school hall, civic hall, church, your rehearsal room - for soloists and small groups, even a room in a private house might well be suitable.
